I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for so long, I had finals then I was travelling plus I was watching WAY too much Gilmore Girls so I’ve barely been reading. It was actually on the drive back from one of my trips that I downloaded Throne of Glass on an impulse because I did not want to watch yet ANOTHER movie in the car. If you’ve been here for a while, you may know that I tried to read Throne of Glass last year, but I dropped it because I really hated Celaena. I’m so glad I finally got through it because I can now join the fandom and understand what all the hype is about.
So the Trials of Apollo came out. Yes, I bought it. No, I haven't read it yet.
In the meantime, I have some honest questions brewing in my mind about how things are going to go down. Hello everyone!
Sorry I was pretty MIA last month, I had a bunch of different competitions I was at and haven't had much time to read. I picked this book up on a whim after spotting it in the library and remembering all the hype over it and this book did not disappoint. Hi everyone!
Today I’m going to be reviewing A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. I’m trying a bit of a different style than usual, just to try some different reviewing methods and see what works best for me and provides the most effective review. A huge thank you to Katherine Tegen Books/Harper Collins for sending me an ARC of this book! I got to give away a signed copy of a book from the Steamborn series by Eric R. Asher!
So, I'm pretty behind on the popular books, but I finally managed to read this.
I was taking a break from reading Shadowhunter Academy on my phone and I flew through this book. It was my first sci-fi in a while, just because I've needed a break since my Hunger Games/Divergent/Matched binge. I do want to watch the movie now and will probably review it once I get the chance to read it. In honor of the release of Lady Renegades, the final book in the Rebel Belle trilogy, I decided to review Miss Mayhem, the second book in the trilogy. A huge thank you to Penguin Random House for sending me a copy of Miss Mayhem for the release of Lady Renegades.
Hi guys,
I'm giving away a copy of In the Hope of Memories by Olivia Rivers! GUYS. GUYS. GUYS.
First off, happy Lady Midnight day! I'm so excited to finally be getting it and will have it in my hands very soon. But, before you jump into Lady Midnight, you HAVE TO read Shadowhunter Academy. Don't wait for the bind up, there's some big stuff that happens here that you need to know. |
Goodreads Book of the Month
5 members The reviewers of http://www.onceuponsomefangirls.weebly.com We have monthly books, feel free to ... ButterI TOTALLY DIDN'T JUST MAKE THIS SKETCHY PICTURE OF MYSELF ON POWERPOINT PLEASE NOTE: MY NAME IS NOT BUTTER FOR NO REASON (DEM DOUBLE NEGATIVES DOH). I WILL BE SALTY AND MUSHY AND GROSS AND I AM NOT AFRAID TO USE PROFANITY SO READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. 'Sup people... It's Butter. Please don't think I sound angsty and dead-ish because that's just me after reading until two in the morning. I guess I like reading YA books because they're quite easy to get what's going on and they allow the sluices in my brain to open for all that rush of fangirling. However, I'm kind of being peer pressured into reading classics because "they're better for my reading comprehension" which is a-ok awesome but I'm still a child who dreams of random awesomeness... Not historical fiction. I'm sorry for being "that one kid" and I'm trying to transition, please love meeeee. Also my grammar sucks so please don't judge (Can you tell I'm half dead while writing this?). CaramelHi! I'm Caramel, the mastermind behind all of this. I've been reading forever. Seriously, my family calls me Hermione. My first memorable book that got me on the path of fangirling is the Harry Potter series, that I read in kindergarten. It was the spark for my bonfire of reading. I'll read just about any genre, or anything, truthfully. I'd probably read a bibliography if you gave me that too.
GazelleHey! Gazelle here! I'm the resident PJO fangirl. The first book series I got into was the PJO series, then I read the Harry Potter books. I LOVED them all. I'm also a huge Lunar Chronicles fan. I actually love a lot of books, I don't think I can name them all. To be honest, I'm really not sure what to say next, Caramel just kind of shoved this in front of me and said, "Here, write something about yourself." I don't know what else to say, so if you could just pretend you're reading the most heart-felt thing in the world, laugh, smile, hold this to your heart, and maybe even shed a few tears, then that would be great. Thanks, I owe you one. Bottom line: I like books. A lot.
